Listmates – I am getting ready for have gall bladder surgery and concerned about having diarrhea after surgery.  My surgeon has suggested if that happen he would prescribe Questran.  It is listed as gluten free on the glutenfreedrugs.com website but I am concerned about the side effects of gas, not able to absorb vitamins, etc.  As a celiac I have osteoporosis and worry about the absorption issue. 
I would appreciate hearing from people who have taken this drug after a gall bladder surgery.  I will post a summary.  Thanks.
