Hi folks -

I'm thinking of making a 3-D train cake for my son's birthday. Have any of you tried to make a 3-D cake using a pan designed for that? (They come with a lid and then you stand the finished cake on its side.) Wilton's recommends using a pound cake or similar stiff, heavy cake, but I'm not sure a GF cake would be strong enough to stay upright.

Thanks,
Kate
