I was looking at "whole foods kansas city BBQ seasoning"  (powder form.
  The ingredient lists: Malt vinegar powder (maltodextrin and malt vinegar
(from barley).

To be safe I did not buy it but I think I remember rradign that malt
vinegar is safe.  Is this true?
