I'd say you're going to be busy this week, Junior! I hope everything goes
well and that you and your family are all safe and I hope they don't work
you too hard. Send some of that rain up here, please!!!

Kris

Subject: Tropical Storm Isaac

If this post is not allowed on this list just let me know.
This is what I have to look forward to this week.

Tropical Storm Isaac has become better organized overnight. While it is
still a tropical storm, the structure of the storm has improved.
The threat of impact is steadily increasing to the Florida Panhandle or Big
Bend Region as well as further inland areas of Southeast Alabama and
Southwestern Georgia.
Predictions from the National Hurricane Center estimate that Isaac will make

landfall as a Category (2) storm slightly west of Panama City. This area
places all of Jackson County in the upper right quadrant of the storm which
will mean an increase in rain and the possibility of numerous tornadoes.
At this time, confidence is high and the primary concern is heavy rainfall
We are urging all personnel and agencies to begin taking steps for the
preparation of this impact.
Forward motion at time of landfall is 10 mph. This equates to a widespread
rainfall total of 10 to 15 inches with isolated higher totals in excess of
20 inches possible.
