Howard,
Window-Eyes uses several insert number pad key combos. Some num pads won't
do those combination keys properly.

Bob,
What does not work with the number pads you have tried?
I use a number pad with my laptop, however, sometimes, it will not work
unless I turn
on the laptop number pad which converts the right hand keys to numbers.
Also, the top left key on the number pad turns number lock on and off in the
same way as the same key works on a full size keyboard. Be sure to turn on
num lock.
On my laptop, after I turn on the right hand number pad function in order to
get the external number pad to work, I can turn it off so the right hand
reverts back to the j k l ... keys.
I would guess this would be the same issue for net books.
I don't know what key pad I have, just something I picked up at Best Buy.
let me know if this helps.
