Hi,
I'm looking to improve on the stock antenna that came with my Baofeng UV-5R. I've been looking at the ones from http://www.smileyantenna.com and http://www.mfjenterprises.com but there are a ton out there. So my question to you all is, what antenna do you find best for portable operation on 2 meters? If it works on 440 also, that's great but there's very little activity on that band where I live. The only requirements I have are that it work with the Baofeng UV-5r with or without an adapter, and that it is usable while walking around.
Karl
