I doubt you would find the ts2000 frustrating at all.
even without speech, mike gain, rf power output, PL tones and all the rest 
are easy enough to figure out counting clicks on the multi-select knob...and 
none of those settings wrap, and there is a beep at each end to let you know 
your lower and upper limits.
Most functions are easily accessed with one or two button presses and there 
is nothing confusing about using the radio at all.
A whole lot more accessible than even an IC7000 and lots of blind hams 
successfully use those all the time.
