Hi Howard,

This is Howard #3.

About 4 years ago I renewed my license on the FCC website and I didn't have
any trouble. There site is very accessible.

Before you can use their Universal Licensing System, you need to get an ID
number from them. This also can be done online and the number will be
e-mailed to you immediately.

If you are reasonably proficient at filling out forms online, this whole
process can be completed in less than half an hour at most.

On a scale of 1 (easy) to 10 (hard) this exercise is about a 3 in my
opinion.

The hardest thing is to figure out what website to go to.

If anyone is interested, I will look up the address and post it here.

If you are able to get an Amateur license than you are smart enough to renew
it independently.
