I have been taking melatonin for years and it somehow never clicked in my mind that the label states that you should not use melatonin if you have an auto-immune disorder. Duh! That's us. Celiac is an auto-immune disorder.

Does anyone have any expert knowledge, or know where I can find expert knowledge, on the question of why melatonin is contra-indicated for anyone with an auto-immune disorder? I'd really like to know whether this is just something their lawyers made them say.
