it's funny because this exact thing comes up a few times a year and always 
has precisely the same result.
Someone asks nicely, or complains, about thank you messages going to the 
list, and it's always the same response...use the delete key, or ignore it, 
or whatever.
And the most entertaining part, is the ones who ask or complain, have been 
on list for years and have obviously either forgotten, or not bothered to 
read list messages dealing with this topic...and have also apparently 
forgotten the moderators position on the matter.
It's entertaining anyway.
