Hi Gary,
I'd love to do your first suggestion, but all the hams in this town, haven't kept commitments, no calls when they said they would, no rides when they said they would, so, I'm basically cut off.
As far as suggestion number 2, the receive is fantastic, when I connect the coax of the antenna directly to the 570, on either coax 1 or coax 2 port on the radio, just weird.
