Curt,

As far as I know, none of the Kenwood radios with that voice chip let you 
play the recordings from Rec4 over the air, and I really wish they would. 
However, you can connect an external recorder to the radio through the 
13-pin DIN connector on the back, and that works quite well.  There's a very 
useful device made by LDG Electronics called an RCA14, which brings all the 
connections on any one of the DIN connectors out to RCA jacks; very handy 
for hooking up a semi-permanent recording setup.  The RCA14 costs around 
$50, which is probably about what it would cost you to buy the metal box and 
the three DIN cables that come with it.  Incidentally, the RCA14 can be used 
with other radios that have DIN connectors, so it's a handy item to have 
around the shack.
