MFJ Enterprises is celebrating their 40th anniversary this Friday and
Saturday by combining an open house with an annual ARRL section picnic
that we call the "ARRL Day in the Park."
I am scheduled to operate the CW station for the event beginning at
8:00 AM central time on Saturday. The frequency will be 14.035.
The call is K5MFJ.
To keep the station "street legal," we will refer only to the "ARRL
Day in the Park" during contacts, and let people draw their own
conclusions from the call sign.
There will also be two phone stations during the event. At some point,
one of these stations will be operated by my wife, Kathleen, K5KKD.
The equipment will be Icom radios with either Ameritron 811H or
ALS1300 amps. The antennas will probably be either MFJ or Hy-Gain
verticals.
I believe the radios will be the IC9100, and the IC7410. I'm not sure
which I will be using.
Look for us if you are around the radio.
