Hi,

I use a Vectronics 512 noise bridge. This noise bridge has two advantages
over other units. First, it produces a pulsing hissing noise rather than a
solid hiss which at times is hard to hear underneath band noise. Second,
the unit has a bypass circuit to bypass the bridge if you accidentally
transmit in to it which I've accidentally done several times. I place the
bridge between my transceiver and amplifier as the unit can only withstand
up to 300 watts of RF.

Hi
I had a noise bridge around here somewhere. However, it used a very low
amperage fuse to protect the circuit from accidental transmissions. I ran
out of fuses and could not find a source for more. So, I archived it until
such a time when I could find a replacement for the fuses.

God bless,
Mark

Hi Danny,
You're probably right and I can use the Auto tuner on my IC-703+ to tweak
any last mismatch but I also want to try some end-fed wire antennas with my
MFJ tuner and need a noise bridge for it. I can use the Antenna Tuner Tuner,
but it's kind of bulky to carry and the MFJ tuner is no small box either.
I'm going to check out the Ham Pod people's qrp tuner, I bet it's pretty
small, but the budget has to accommodate it.

Hi Ron, last I knew, Tentec made a lil kit for around $20, although I don't
know either its' nomenclature, its' price built, and or even if it's still
available, but I know that it was available from their factory in TN a
couple of years ago. *Honestly though, I suspect you'll get close enough
with practice using the MP1, that you won't be able to improve on its'
performance with a noise bridge. HTH, Danny.
