Yeah tom I think you have to reverse the leads on the paddle.

Tom,

I know there is a reverse mode in the 570 and I think it is a single 
button push.  There is a reverse or rev button somewhere.   I think it 
may be near the clear button, probably near the  bottom of the number pad.
In cw, press it and see if it fixes things.
