You might consider a dipole.
It certainly would be small enough.

Hi Scott, the HTX100 is a 25 watt SSB/CW rig that works farely well, though
you might need help setting memories in it, so you will have frequencies
whare you know what frequency you are on.  There is no adccessible read-out
for this rig.  I have used one and it is doable.  As far as working well in
an apartment, it all depends upon what you can do for an antenna, probably
some kind of magmount, but I wouldn't expect too much.  Of course, if the
band is really open, it won't take much!  GRIN!
