My first HT was the Icom 0-2AT which I liked very much.  Since it was keypad 
entry, it's main advantage over the 2AT as I saw it was that since you could 
enter all information with the keypad, you didn't have to file the 
thumbwheels down so you could tell where you were as the 0-2AT didn't even 
have thumb wheels.  That was the main thing that sold me on that rig as my 
first ever ham radio.  I had blind friends who were hams, and whenever they 
got a new 2AT that's one of the first things they had to do was have the 
thumb wheels filed down so they could tell the offset and primary 
frequencies apart.
