Steve:
It may be later today, but I'll do what you suggest, and will also try to
recruit the XYL to take some readings from the supply, the Tentech manual
tuner, and the amp.
If someone can tell me how to increase the voltage on the astron, I'm
willing to give that a shot, although I want to do so safely.
I could also try another power supply, like the Samlex I have out in the rV
for the TS480 for comparative purposes. That will also have to wait till
later today when I can get out there and swap it out.
Like you, Steve, I'm very reluctant to mess with the rig's service manual.
I'm still wondering too if the reduced power output has something to do with
the firmware upgrade from 1.04 to 1.06 that I just did.
