I've got a battery operated soldering iron, though not a "cold" type.
It'll solder the tip of a PL259, but would have a bit of difficulty doing
the ground side, though a compotent solderor, and patients would get it
done.
It was 15 bucks or so and takes 2 double A batteries.
The nice thing about them is that they heat to soldering temperature
extremely quickly, and cool very quickly as well.
