DRM removal is illegal, but Paragraph 1 on exemptions is generally
interpreted to mean that people can remove DRM for personal use. I can
remove DRM to access a file with my assistive technology or to read a
Nook book on my iOS device (common among sighted people), but I can not
share, sell, or post the material anywhere.

As blind people whose access to such material is otherwise limited
(spending fifteen minutes removing DRM versus a few hours or days
scanning and cleaning up a file), I think DRM removal is a legitimate
topic for the list, provided we all understand that we must do so
responsibly and respectfully.
