The next meeting of GIG of Central and South Texas (GIG CSTX) in Austin is scheduled for 7 pm on January 18th at Faith Lutheran Church 6600 Woodrow Ave.

Our speaker for the evening will be Dr. Amy Myers from Austin UltraHealth, can help you with the new year’s resolutions as well as looking at other ways to be healthy.  Dr. Myers specializes in functional and nutritional medicine.  Functional medicine looks at 7 key areas; Optimizing nutrition, Fixing digestion, Enhancing detoxification, Cooling off inflammation in your body, Balancing your hormones, Boosting energy and Calming your mind.  Please join us to hear Dr. Myers.

In addition to Dr. Myers we will be sharing samples from Bona Dea, a local Austin company making gluten-free mixes.

Please bring a gluten free snack to share.  It is important that included with each snack is a listing of ingredients.  Some of our members need to avoid more than just gluten.  If the recipe is either original or has been changed at least 3 times, please bring the recipe.  We can publish these recipes in the recipe exchange section of our monthly newsletter.
