Hi Danny, thanks. Will call my local HRO store this Monday. I
accidentally erased your email with the new Mp1 website in it.
If you get a chance, please send me the link for their new site.
I guess I can try a google search. Thanks, Jim WA6EKS

Hi Jim, you may have to order that coil direct from the website,
if the
stores don't have it, the site likely will, Bonnie Crystal,
expeditionradio.com from the hfpack website has a coil which she
got at
Dayton. I'm not sure the bag is available for the simple mp1, I
know it is
for the dipole and or beam, but not sure about the other. In
terms of
splicing wire to the ribbon cable counterpoises, I'd suggest
maybe either a
roll of wire knotted at the aprox point of the band desired, that
you unroll
to the band length, or maybe several different lengths of single
insulated
wire/split speaker wire or something else, that you put those
little slide
clips to match the lug on the mount,/if you mount it on a chain
link fence,
or rought iron railing system, you may not need counterpoises at
all. Keep
me posted, thanks, Danny.

Subject: mp1 antenna update?

Hi Danny, So, I guess I will have to buy a 60 meter coil. I
will
call HRO Monday to see if they have one but they didn't mention
it when I was there the other day. Sounds like you don't need
all those different radial sets, just spliceing some more wire
on
the existing 4 radials would work then rolling up the ends as
needed to make them the right length for the band you are on
 should work.
I also want to get a nylon stuff bag for the antenna because it
didn't come with one. Jim WA6EKS
