Hi Linda, sounds like the repeater might be an aligator! GRIN! That
means all mouth and no ears! Do you hear it full quieting? Aimee has a
repeater in Jacksonville that puts out a great signal, but from her qth,
you need a magmount to get into it. It is probably the most active
machine in the area, so it is too bad it is so hard to get into!

By the way, if you take your magmount out, make sure you have a pizza pan
or large cookie sheet, or some other metal object to put the magmount on,
as this will give it a bit of a ground to work against. If the repeater
is on 440, you won't need as big of a pan. Also, have you tried moving
the antena one way or another with-in your apartment? Again, if it is a
440 machine, it doesn't take much to make a differents! We used to call
440 the band of inches! GRIN!
