so the jerks don't have a zenier diode to protect against over voltage or reverse voltage? if that is truly the case they are retards , but I suspect that they turn around and after getting you to buy a new one so they make money they sell the old ones refurbished somewhere  I would be very very suprised if it was truly a total loss. I do suggest in the future you braille your adaptors so you can tell which one goes to which gadget
