Well, if you are calling CQ on a band that is mostly vacent, you might want
to widen the receiver to 2 khz to hear anything around you. If you are
running a crowded contest, you might need to go down to 150 hz. If you are
working a station that is weak, and or their is very close qrm, you might
want to crank down to 50 HZ. For me comfortable listening is at 300 HZ.
The DSP also behaves differently based on the receive band width.
