Modou,
I read this article. Apart from the word Socialism in the
PDOIS acronym, I have never read anywhere since PDOIS was founded
where it is stated that Halifa, Sedia and Sam are socialist. I have
also never heard any of them publicly state that they are socialist. If
there is anything to the contrary I would like to be enlightened.
Moreover, PDOIS has written a lot on the Gambian political
situation from colonialism to this date; they have written a lot
about the Gambian economic situation as well as other social and
cultural issues. I have not seen people challenging them on any of
these things, but rather they would dwell on things that they have not
said or assigned them positions they have not taken. All this for a
good reason.
It is interesting how the battle of ideas to win the hearts
and minds of the Gambian people is shaping up. As long as we don't
resort to violence to settle our political disagreements and differing
political visions for our country it should be a good thing.

Suntou:
Good try. You have touched on an interesting topic for national
discourse but at the same time you deviated from it by shying away from
its academic and scientific value. It appaers again that PDOIS is your
main target. But we can talk about this topic even inclding PDOIS and
the generality of ideology in the Gambian political field. I will buy
some time to share my views.
