The Buddy pole and buddy stick antennas are very highly thought of by many
folks. My blind ham friend, Jack McSpadden, wa5rop from northeastern AR,
has used the buddy stick, and found it useable, but much more "fidley, to
set up especially for a blind person, and thereby much more in need of a
separate tuner or analyzer. If you want more comparison information, you
might go to the archive section of the HFpack yahoo group and look for the
"antenna shoot out" real world supervised comparisons of many portable
antennas. HTH, Danny.
