No, it does not pick up the sub carriers. Neither did the Dice unit.

The Radio Reading button on the Dice unit was to cause it to scan 
specifically for an HD3 or HD4 signal.

Does this radio also pick up the subcarrier stations for the blind 
like the
Dice unit, or whatever the name of it is?  There probably aren't many 
of
those left, but I was just curious.
