Yes, and I would challenge you to name one minority group that has obtained 
any significant civil rights gains by not fighting for them.  Many blacks 
were killed and imprisoned for no reason at all other than their 
determination to stand up for their legal rights they already had under the 
law.  They didn't get them by catching flies with honey.  And no other 
minority group will do it either.  We may not have to sacrifice our lives or 
have riots in the streets, but we have to fight in other ways.  We have all 
made gains, but I think most every minority group would say that they still 
have a long way to go.

That's another flaw that our own organization claimed that we have 
realistically speaking won all the civil rights cases we can expect to win 
so it was time to change our focus to service providing.  There is no "After 
Civil Rights," for us or any other minority group in an imperfect world.
