Hi there,
Yep, I've used the HTX100, loved it.
It puts out 25 watts.
What we used was a CB moble mag mount antenna, cut to 28.850.

  Subject: 10-meter radion inquiry

  Good evening List:

I have been looking for a 10-meter rig to supplement the Kenwood tmg707a I
have here in the shack right now and I've got someone willing to sell me a
10-meter mobile. It is the Radio Shack HTX100. Has anyone had any
experience with this radio? Is it accessible? Would this one be a good
investment? When I originally put my desire for a 10-meter rig out on a net
earlier in the week, I had said I was looking for a ht, but would also
consider a mobile rig. Any advice on this radio would be greatly
appreciated! Also, if anyone has any other 10-meter radio suggestions for
  an apartment, fire away!
