"This change was made to make the Stream work the way it does on the
Stratus."
Yippee, big deal.
So, let's see if I now understand this situation correctly.
in order to make everything work the same way, they destroy a feature,
which depending on the headphones and listening environment, may be
rather essential.
Sounds to me like they took a page from the "Microsoft Book of Logic."
You know the page of which I speak:
"It was working fine, so we fixed it."

Subject: Victor Stream oddity
I updated the firmware on my stream yesterday, but didn't try it out,
but it
was brought to my attention on the list. I just tried playing my notes
folder and noticed the pitch problem. I wish these companies would
make sure
their updates work before they release them to the public.
