I dried it as strips, this made it easy to feed into the meat grinder. 
If it is dry enough it will grind OK into a powder.

Alternately, you could pound it between rocks to powder. One member of 
zeroinginonhealth.com did this, she wrote that it was surprisingly easy, 
but needed to be done over a bed sheet, as pieces fly.
