Here are some of the differences:

The Book Port Plus uses the up and down arrows, left and right arrows, and
the
numeric keypad for its navigation. The up and down arrows always control the
speed, both for audio and text playback. The right and left arrows move by
small
increments, the one and three keys move by increments a bit larger, and the
four
and six keys move by even larger increments. This method is used both in
audio
and text titles. The eight key is used to cycle through the different
navigation
levels in a particular title while the seven and nine key move by that
level.

The Plextalk Pocket uses the up and down
arrows to cycle through the available navigation options and the left and
right
arrows are used to move by the chosen option.

The Book Port Plus uses a different guide voice.

Subject: ot - differences between plextalk pocket and bookport plus

I understand that they are the same hardware. Has anyone used both, and can
tell me the major differences in firmware?
Debating which to get as a combo portable reader / recorder.

Thanks for the assistance
