Hi Steve,

I think that might have been W6DFG, Clarence, and believe it or not, I think
he's still around and living in Oregon south of Portland now. I actually
bought a radio from him, picked it up and got to meet him a few years back.
Not long ago, he actually had a listing on a local swap net I control one
Sunday a month.

Take care and very 73.

Kevin :)

I remember that net when I lived in Spokane. The guy who ran it then I am
sure is a SK now, w6def, I think his call was, his name was Clarence.

Yes, there were at least then, quite a few listings. I bought a pristine
TS-820 and the guy accurately described it. It was in like-new condition.

Now, of course, with all the people able to reach a larger audience on
qth.com eham.net and EBay, to say nothing about Craig's List, I don't think
the Swap Nets are quite as crucial anymore.
