I guess I will add my 2 cents. I think some of the members of my club have a
problem dealing with the fact that I am blind. The ones who treat me like I
am sighted are the ones most willing to help. There are a lot of times they
will ask if I need help or just want to do something myself.

As I said before big citty ham radio is different.  I lucked out and ran
across a couple guys from the midwest  to help with things or I'd have been
up the proverbial creek.  When we first moved there, I'd go to club meetings
and no one would speak or act like I was even there.  Los Vegas isn't the
most friendly place, and I use to thinks hams were.  Not all!!
