Today I read online regarding the test for iodine deficiency/sufficiency.
It advised to apply a drop of iodine near the ankle. All other aspects
of the test are the same as mentioned.

I have hypothyroidism, and today just ordered an iodine supplement
in drop form, as well as Klammath Lake blue-green algae. This was per
the ongoing discussion here, and per my hope to not be stuck on thyroid
drugs for the rest of my life. I can try the color patch test on myself.
Again, I'm a guinea pig, since I don't know too much but am trying to
assimilate the knowledge of various sources.

I read somewhere that a way to test of iodine deficiency and supplement at
the same time is to put some on the belly(about the size of a half dollar.
If the stain disappears quickly than there is iodine deficiency. If the
stain stays there for a couple of days you have enough. Supposedly the body
will absorb it from the skin quickly if it is needed. Has anyone else heard
about this method and if it is real or BS.
