I was invited to a family BBQ and plan on taking my own food. But I did ask my sister to either get me in contact with the hostess or give me the phone number so that I could ask a few questions about the sauce used and brand name of the hot dogs so I could look them up. My sister informed me that it is rude to ask questions about what is being served.
I'm not going to start a fight by telling her my opinion, but for those of you that are social, is it rude to ask these questions?
