Hi Brad,
I'd like to echo Wayne Wynn's comments and add that if you only milk an 
animal when it has been killed, then you aren't going to get much milk 
in your diet. Some, to be sure, but the milk is only available from 
adult females, and only for that part of the year when they are suckling 
their young. Further, when you kill the source, or stumble upon the kill 
of another animal, you only get one meal, or part of one meal, from the 
milk.
