Remember 'peek-a-boo'... a game played with very young humans whereby, the 
older player hides his/her face, pops back into the young human's view, and 
says 'peek-a-boo'! often followed by 'I see you!'?... and then the young 
human will cover their face and so on...

It takes a while for the young humans to 'get' that just because they cover 
their eyes it doesn't mean that older human is no longer there and that they 
re-appear when they uncover their eyes.
