Hi to All,

Although this question is not strictly Ham related, there are many in the
know on this list.

My questions pertain to the NLS DTB machine. I think that Lloyd
(W3I U U), might have answered this awhile ago, or even here on this list.

I've had my DTB machine for over at least a year, without using it, and had
left it unplugged. Now it seems that the battery will not take a charge. I
recall Lloyd saying something concerning running down the battery below 3
volts, and then it couldn't be charged any more.

My questions: Can I correct this problem and how?
Can I remove the battery and send it to my local library for a replacement
battery like we used to do with the C1 machines? If the battery compartment
door is removable what kind of tool, (or is it a special tool) that can
be used to remove the fasteners holding the door closed?

To keep this Ham-related, (smile), I was hoping to download March QST from
BARD and read it.

Thanks to all who may have any suggestions.

Armand, W B 2 Z E I, Sacramento
