Sounds like nonsense to me. As many ground rods as you want, but one is
probably good enough unless you're running a vertical and need radials and
such. I had a phone tech here once who tried to check the ground on the box
on the outside. He put one lead on the ground on the gox and the other on a
screw driver he just stuck in the ground and wondered why he couldn't get a
reading. I had him hook it to the ground on the power plole and good
ground.
