hello tom, do not pay any attention to the ldg pw1, it is a very in
accurate device. its readings are frequency dependent and even
though they say that it will handle a kw on 50mhz thats not true. i
purchased a pw1 and compared it to my byrd 43 wattmeter and it was a
joke. and on 50mhz i ran a kw through it and in a flash it went up
in smoke. i spoke to ldg and was told that the unit will not handle
a kw on 50mhz even though they claim that it will. i think that
most folks on the list are using a pw1 and put way to much faith in
its readings. it is just a relative device and a very poor one at
best. the rf applications unit was a much more accurate device and
was not so frequency conscious. take care, c u 73 mike w6quv
