I tend to think it's more likely where there are little pins that go through 
the insulation to the conductors, if I'm reading the info right, it might be 
what those can handle that decides the rating more so than anything else 
since with a good solid connection all around the shield and center 
conductor, on the hf bands anyway, even rg-58 should be able to handle close 
to legal limit though it may not like it. I wouldn't try it on uhf or vhf 
especially after seeing what 100 watts on 900 MHz does to RG-58 but anyway, 
that's my thought and I could be wrong.
