There used to be one that worked with Kenwood radios but with the TS-2000 
and newer radios they changed something and that interface didn't work. They 
do make a couple tuners specific for Kenwood radios but for whatever reason 
no cables for other LDG tuners though I can't say I've heard anything about 
the 590. An external tuner will give you broader tuning range for sure and 
doesn't seem to take the 10-15 watts internal tuners seem to rob you of but 
that's not that big a deal anyway.
