    Hi, all.

As a certified VE, I think this could be a very feasible option as a form of
special testing for blind license applicants, and perhaps others with
special needs.

Not only would it make it easier on the VE team, but it would also allow the
blind applicant to review questions and answers as many times as he/she
would like, without the added pressure of having to ask the VE exam readers
to repeat qquestions and choices.

So, in sum, at first glance, I think this is a great idea.

Will be interested to see what others think.

Subject: fcc exams

Greetings,

I think most of us are aware of the options that we have in taking exams,
using a reader, getting a Braille copy, or some using print magnification.
The question has been raised on whether any VEs are allowing people to take
their exams on the computer. When I took my Extra exam today one of the VEs
said he had seen one test site that had applicants do their exams on PCS. I
had asked around a bit to see if this was an option but found no answers. I
should add that I had an excellent reader for the exam and even though I had
thought earlier that I would have preferred to do it in Braille I believe it
wouldn't have changed anything. How about some thoughts from the rest of
you on this.

Also, I would be interested in communicating some with blind persons who are
VEs since I am considering taking that on too.

Bob
