Hi Tom,

I've been told never to put Silicon Grease near RF contacts. The stuff spreads of its own accord and louses up the connection. It's fine for nuts and bolts and ensuring good thermal contact for transistors etc. where the connections are soldered.

In the same vein, you don't put the stuff around joints in antennas (HI).

I have coated Radio Works baluns with the stuff to good effect, this after the connections have already been sealed and/or soldered.

Regarding your particular dilemma, I think Butch is right on that one, least said soonest mended.

Cheers & 73,

Terry
