Pip's Place - The Gluten Free Cakery had it's Grand Opening last week,
announcing the newest gluten free dessert hot spot in NYC's Upper East Side!

Pip's place has a nice array of bars, muffins, mini cakes, and cookies. I
stopped by twice to try a handful of things with overall positive reviews.

The bars are by far the most delicious with the heath bar leading the pack
with great richness and flavor. Sadly when I stopped by the second time the
heath bar had mysteriously shrunk an inch in each direction with no cut in
the cost.

The cakes were moist but a little bit on the greasy side, though the
blueberry cake was an absolute delight.

The owner's favorite treat is the raspberry pinwheel.

Though the treat's aren't cheap the staff are very friendly and the owner
is available to answer specific nutrition and ingredient questions, and I
look forward to supporting this new gluten free find in the city! On my
first visit the owner shared that they've already had such a positive
response they're looking for more bakers.
