It sure was. What I am trying to figure out now, is the average audio
output on the 100 watt Omni D is 3 times as much as the audio output average
on the TS-480. I am using a TW1, and get a reading of 30 on peeks, where
with the same vocal volume I get 90 from the omni D.
I'am wondering if anybody else has a ts-480 and a tw1, if they could make
the same test, and let me know what they get.
I know it's not scientiffic and appropriate and all the rest. So how many
qso's do you make with a two tone whistle?
The reports on the air duplicate what I get on the meter.
100 watts is not 100 watts.
I have found a couple of articles on increasing the transmit audio on the
ts-480, but I can't find the one that talks about a service menu adjustment.
So i'd like to know whhat others get out of their 480's.
