Hello, all.

Well, I'm happy to report tonight that my friend and I finally got my TS590
to work with the ARCP590 software and the virtual USB comport driver.

The key was changing the Jaws utility so that it now works through the on
board sound card in the laptop. The other challenge, of course, was to get
the ports to match up. For some strange reason, we got things to work when
we configured the USB com port driver and the ARCP590 software for port 10.

There is one small problem my friend noticed, which doesn't matter to me,
but which I thought some of you might have some thoughts about.

He says that the bottoms of the numbers on the display screen are slightly
cut off. In other words, you can read them, but they are cut off at the
bottom. Does anyone know of a menu setting to deal with that?

Finally, I have one additional bit of good news! We installed the N3FJP
NorthAmericanQSO Party logging software, and got it to work with my usb to
serial adapter and CW interface, so now I know the N3FJP software can work
with my set-up as well.

I still have some tweaking to do, but we have made great progress in the
last 24 hours.

I want to take a moment here to sincerely thank all of you for your
attention to my recent computer and rig interface woes. You all were very
patient, and gave me so many great suggestions.

I can only hope that I am as helpful to others as you have been to me.

This is a truly great list, and I appreciate it every day!
