Gary,
I first heard of their leaving the Monday of their last week. I
often don't sleep well and they were one of the very few spots on the
A M dial that had any entertainment value at all overnights. They
often entertained and sometimes were educational. Their replacement
is trying damned hard to be cute and absolutely failing at it. I'm
not sure what WGN is attempting to do, obviously raise ratings but
they have done a bad job of it so far. Only overnight choices now
are WBBM News Radio, WSM when the band is good and a whole lot of
very worthless stupid satelite feed talk radio.
What a shame.
